Collezione Sposa 2019 “Orihime”
The idea of this collection stems from a dream of Designer Flavia Pinello, in which white sheets swayed hanging from cherry branches with ideograms, hopes and wishes written. Everything is illuminated by the warm light of a summer dawn that illuminates a light with red tints. There is an atmosphere of celebration in the air, a climate of love. Upon awakening, the search for the meaning of this strange dream led to the legend of Orihime, the weaver star, and Hikoboshi (known in the West as Vega and Altair) and of the Red Lanterns Festival, Tanabata, the feast of love and lovers in Asia. Repeating the stages of their love story, each dress wants to tell those moments, the fluid and soft lines of silk are enhanced with the crystal embroidery that reminds the stars.
The lace seems to draw constellations on the tulle and on the skin. The wide skirts, paying homage to the western princesses, become soft and fluctuating like those of the Greek-Roman divinities, to the point of becoming shaped like in a kimono.
Orihime is a collection that wants to pay homage to love and women, timeless and without borders , the ideal of feminine beauty that transcends the origin but is universal and heavenly. It is a collection that speaks of the purity and strength of love, which is able to change one’s destiny and its history, which does not need striking gestures, acts or clothes to prove it. The magnificence of a moment is like a spark, elegance and subtlety of mind endure over time. Like the dresses in the Orihime Collection by Flavia Pinello, they are immutable and brilliant stars for eternity that illuminate and crown the dreams of love of the brides who wear them. A Collection born thinking of all those women who dream and want to be wrapped in silk, lace and embroidery wisely used and made with the highest sartorial mastery with the intention of dressing a goddess.
